
Women's Golf Wins Converse Invitational
Gyoni continues strong fall, placing third, as Cobras win Converse Invitational.
Hartsville, SC. - Daniella Gyoni continued to shine, as she has all fall, leading Coker to a first place finish at the Converse Invitational. The Cobras put togethe a team total of 919 which tied Emmanuel, but Coker's Felicia Sundgren out shot Keely Johnson to secure first.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Coker sat firm in second place following Monday morning's opening two rounds behind Emmanuel.
Haylie George led the Cobras in round one with an even par 72, while it was Daniella Gyoni shooting par on the second 18 to pace the Cobras.
Kelly Campman remained steay through the first two rounds shooting 75 and 74 through 36 holes.
Heading into day two, Coker found themselves sevon shots behind the leader Emmanuel.
The Cobras put together a sound round on day three, led by Gyoni's two over par, to help catch Emmanuel. Following round three, Coker and Emmanuel were tied at a team score of 919. In this situation, the scoring moves to each teams fifth player to break the tie, in which Felicia Sundgren's overall 244 beat out Emmanuel's Keely Johnson who shot a 251 to give Coker the team win.
Daniella Gyoni placed third individually in the tournament, earning yet another top 10 finish on the fall. Kelly Campman rounded out the top 10 with a 228 final through three rounds.
