Women's Golf Completes Day One of Jerry Surratt Memorial
MONROE, N.C. - The Coker University women’s golf team opened up play at the Jerry Surratt Memorial today (Mar. 14). The women are competing against several nationally-ranked programs and conference foes.
MONROE, N.C. - The Coker University women's golf team opened up play at the Jerry Surratt Memorial today (Mar. 14). The women are competing against several nationally-ranked programs and conference foes.
The women currently sit in ninth place after two rounds of play.
Jordan White leads the team as she sits in 14th place shooting 156 (+12), birdieing four holes, and shooting for par on 17 holes on the day. Katie Smith shot a 162 (+18), she was able to bounce back from shooting an 86 in round one to turning in a 76 in round two.
Haylie George and Maggie Jennings-Campbell shot a 171 (+27) on the day while Jenna Werle shot a 180 (+36).
"I am really proud of the ladies and how they fought today, they played under terrible conditions this morning and were able to bounce back in the right direction in round two," said Head Coach John Hackney. "I am really looking forward to seeing us continue to make pushes up the leader board tomorrow, the way the ladies respond in round two shows how much grit and determination they have."
Coker women's golf hits the links again tomorrow as they wrap up play at the Jerry Surratt Memorial. Tee time is set for 8:30 a.m. with video and live stats available at www.cokercobras.com
