SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Coker University women's golf team completed the Converse Spring Invite at the Carolina Country Club on Tuesday (Feb. 18). Alicia Fajardo won the tournament individually with a total score of 153 (+9).

After an excellent first round, shooting a 79 (+7), Alicia Fajardo improved on that in the second round with a total of 74 (+2) on her way to victory. Jordan White shot a 90 in both rounds. Katie Smith improved her first round score by four strokes in round two, finishing at 91. Makayla Barr also improved by two strokes in the second round of play at the Carolina Country Club.

"Alicia's first college win is the culmination of three and a half years of hard work," said coach Sam Stark. "She came in and improved so much over the summer, and deserves every ounce of praise and credit for a gritty performance!"
