St. Augustine, Florida – The Coker University women's golf team started day one of their first tournament of the season on Monday (Feb. 10) at the 2020 Spring Kick-Off Intercollegiate at the St. John's Golf & Country Club.
After one round of play, Alicia Fajardo is tied for third individually, shooting a 75 (+3). Fajardo hit for par on 13 of the 18 holes, and birdied on the fourth hole. Jordan White is tied for 31st after shooting an 86 (+14) in round one. White was able to hit for par on seven different holes. Katie Smith finished at 93 (+21) hitting for par on holes five, seven, and 13. Makayla Barr shot for bogey on holes 10 and 15.
"We got our feet wet as far as tournament golf in the spring," said coach Sam Stark. "Alicia had an excellent round on a tough course, and I know our ladies are looking forward to improving across the board tomorrow."
The Cobras will begin round two of the 2020 Spring Kick-Off Intercollegiate on Tuesday (Feb. 11). The action will begin at 8:30 a.m., with live results available at www.cokercobras.com.
