Coker Women's Golf Completes The Patsy Rendleman Invitational

SALISBURY, N.C. – At the Country Club of Salisbury, The Coker University women's golf team finished tenth with a team score of 628 (+52) in the Patsy Rendleman Invitational. Senior Alicia Fajardo tied for second place after shooting a 144 (E) for the tournament. Fajardo sinked nine birdies and shot for eagle on hole four in round one. In Round one, she set a school record for the lowest single round score of 70 (-2). 

Sophomore Jordan White shot a 158 (+14), placing tied for 48th individually. White shot six over par (78) in round two, shooting for birdie on hole 13. Senior Taylor Mayers was just one stroke behind White, shooting a 159 (+15). Mayers' best performance came in round one when she shot three over par (75). Freshman Katie Smith shot an 86 in round two (+14), finishing the tournament at 167 (+23). Smith birdied on the fourth hole. 

"I'm proud of the effort our team gave in round one," said coach Jackson Bailey. "We will continue to improve, there is a lot of potential on this team." 

The Cobras will be back in action Oct. 26 – Oct. 29 when they will travel to Jekyll Island, Georgia for The Jekyll Island Intercollegiate at the Jekyll Island Golf Club. Live scoring of the event can be found at www.cokercobras.com
