Women's Golf Closes Out SAC Championship With Record-Breaking Fifth-Place Showing

HICKORY, N.C. - The Coker College women's golf team rounded out play at the South Atlantic Conference Women's Golf Championship on Tuesday (Apr. 9) as they notched a fifth-place finish. The Cobras also set the team record for lowest 54-hole total as a team after recording a 926 (+62) as a team, which was two strokes less than their previous best.

Alyssa Campbell put on a record-setting performance over her three rounds as she set the Coker record for the lowest 54-hole score by one stroke. The freshman closed out the tournament with another 75 (+3) to give her a share of ninth-place. Alicia Fajardo posted a strong final round as she ended the day tied for 13th after her team-low round of 74 (+2). Kelli Smith finished in sole possession of 19th after her 81 (+9) for the day. Ana Orlov and Bella Harris both tied for 42nd as they carded an 80 (+8) and an 82 (+10), respectively.

The Cobras closed the season strong with three consecutive top-five finishes and also a win at the 2019 Cherokee Valley Women's Invitational.
