The Coker College women's golf team closed out the first round of the 2019 Cherokee Valley Women's Invitational on Monday (Mar. 25) in first-place by three strokes as they look for their second win of the year.
TRAVELERS REST, S.C. - The Coker College women's golf team closed out the first round of the 2019 Cherokee Valley Women's Invitational on Monday (Mar. 25) in first-place by three strokes as they look for their second win of the year.
Bella Harris shot the low round of the day for the Cobras as she fired off a 78 (+6) to put her in a tie for second and just one shot back of the leader. Alicia Fajardo was right on her heels as she ended the day with sole possession of fourth-place with a 79 (+7). Alyssa Campbell, coming off of a second-place showing at the Coker Women's Invitational, carded an 80 (+8) as she finished the day in a tie for fifth. Kelli Smith just missed the top-ten after finishing the first round in a tie for 11th with an 84 (+12) while Ana Orlov ended the day tied for 13th with an 85 (+13).
The Cobras will hit the course again Tuesday (Mar. 26) as they look to take home the title at the 2019 Cherokee Valley Women's Invitational.
