Coker in Fifth Through Two Rounds at SAC Championship
Cobras score six shots better, jump three spots heading into final round
ELGIN, S.C.- The Coker College women's golf team carded a collective score of 324, six shots better than in the opening round. The Cobras sit in fifth place at the 2018 South Atlantic Conference Women's Golf Championship at The Members Club at Woodcreek Farms after the second round of play on Monday, April 16.
Through two rounds of play and one remaining, Coker sits in fifth place through two rounds of play with a team score of 654. The Navy and Gold were six shots better in round two than round one, jumping them three spots to fifth heading into the final round of play on Tuesday.
Angela Luna signed off on the lowest score for the Navy and Gold on Tuesday with a score of 79, followed by Kelli Smith who shot an 80. Luna bested her Monday score by four shots, holding a tournament score of 162, Smith had a six-shot improvement for a score of 166.
Ana Orlov shot a second round score of 81, landing her a two-round score of 165. Taylor Mayers and Samantha Pearson rounded out play with rounds of 84 and 88 to go along with their opening round scores of 81 and 82, carding two-round scores of 165 and 170 respectively.
