Women's Golf Encounter Cherokee Valley Invitational

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker College women's golf team heads northwest to participate in the Cherokee Valley Invitational, hosted by North Greenville. The two-day tournament will take place on Monday and Tuesday, March 25-26 from Travelers Rest, S.C. 

Last week at the Wingate Lady Bulldog Intercollegiate, the Navy and Gold finished eighth overall with a team score of 649 for the tournament.

Kelli Smith took the charge for the Cobras firing rounds of 82 and 74 to finish 17th overall in individual play. Angela Luna found herself two shots back of Smith, signing off on rounds of 83 and 75, for a two-day total of 158. Luna finished tied for 20th individually overall.

Taylor Mayers and Samantha Pearson both shot first round scores of 82, while Mayers finished one stroke better than Pearson with two-day totals of 167 and 168 respectively.

Ana Orlov rounded out play with scores of 86 and 87.
