Cobras Sit in Sixth After Opening Round of the Coker Cobra Women's Golf Invitational
Pearson and Winburn both tied for 15th heading into final round
HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker College women's golf team battled the course and the elements in the opening round of the Coker Cobra Women's Golf Invitational on Monday, March 12. The reigning tournament champions shot a team score of 326, putting them in sixth place going into the final round of play.
Samantha Pearson and Amber Winburn took charge for Coker in round one, both shooting an opening round score of 80to be tied for 15th individually.
Angela Luna and Ana Orlov both carded the same scores as well, signing off on rounds of 83.
Kelli Smith capped off play for the Cobras with a score of 85.
The final round of the Coker Cobra Women's Golf Invitational will take place on Tuesday, March 13 with an 11:00 a.m. shotgun start from the Hartsville Country Club. Results from the tournament can be found by visiting www.cokercobras.com.
