Cobras Top the Leaderboard in Round One at Converse College Fall Invite
Angela luna and Kelli Smith sit inside the top ten after day one of play
ROEBUCK, S.C.- After one round of play at the Carolina Country Club the Coker College women's golf team leads the field at the Converse College Fall Invite. Finishing with a combined team score of 318 (+30) the Cobras lead Converse College by three strokes.
Angela Luna led the way for the Navy and Gold posting a first round 77 (+5) to sit solely in fourth place, three shots off of the tournament leader. Kelli Smith also broke into the top ten in scoring, entering the clubhouse with a first round score of 78 (+6) to sit tied for fifth place.
Ana Orlov (81, +9), Taylor Mayers (82, +10), and Amber Winburn (85, +13) are all posted inside the top 25 as well. Orlov sits tied for 11th, Mayers tied for 14th, and Winburn tied for 21st.
Round two of the Converse College Invitational will resume Tuesday (Sept. 19) at the Carolina Country Club.
