
Cobras Tied for Sixth After Day One of Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate
The Coker College women's golf team shot a team score of 314 on day one of the Myrtle Beach intercollegiate. The Cobras are in sixth place going into the final round.
SUNSET BEACH, N.C. – The Coker College women's golf team fired an opening round team score of 314 and sit in a tie for sixth place going into the final round of the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate.
Bella Harris and Kelli Smith led the way for the Navy and Gold. Both fired a round of 77 and are in the tie for 12th place on the individual leaderboard. Angela Luna and Ana Orlov each carded rounds of 80, while Taylor Mayers signed off on a round of 83 to round out the Coker lineup.
University of West Georgia is atop the team leaderboard after shooting a team score of 299. Coker sits just six strokes back of second-place teams UNC Pembroke and Lenoir-Rhyne University. Maria Torres of West Georgia is the individual overnight leader after carding an opening round of 70.
The final round will begin Tuesday morning (Oct. 4) at the Lion's Paw Golf Club.
