Cobras Finish Fifteenth in Battle at Old South
Angela Luna led the way for the Coker women's golf team, finishing in the top-25 individually.
BLUFFTON, S.C. – The Coker College women's golf team shot a final round score of 324 on Sunday (Sept. 25) to close out the Battle of Old South with a tournament score of 634 and a 15th place finish.
Angela Luna shot a closing round of 78 to collect a top-25 finish. Her tournament score of 153 left her in a tie for 25th on the individual leaderboard. Bella Harris, Kelli Smith and Taylor Mayers all fired second round scores of 82. Harris and Smith finished with two-day scores of 160, while Meyers finished with a two-day score of 164. Amber Winburn signed off on a closing 88, leaving her with a tournament score of 167.
St. Leo University took home the team title, compiling a team score of 592, defeating Armstrong State by just one stroke. Franziska Bremm of West Georgia was the individual medalist, firing rounds of 72 and 69.
The Cobras will be back in action on Oct. 3-4, when they travel to the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate.
