
Coker Women’s Golf Ties for 12th at Smoky Mountain Invitational
The Coker women's golf team finished 12th at the Smoky Mountain Invitational after shooting a two day total of 656.
SEVIERVILLE, TENN. – The Coker women's golf team finished their final day at the Smoky Mountain Invitational on Tuesday (Sept. 10) with a two-day score of 656. The score was good enough to tie the team for 12th place.
Leading the way for Coker was sophomore Taylor Demby. In the second round, Demby topped her day one score by two strokes and finished with a 76. Demby's two day score of 154 placed her in the top-20 for individual scoring.
Sara Allen finished with the second lowest score on the team and totaled 169 for the tournament. Senior Krista Thorpe and freshman Tensley Clowser each shot a 171, while Mallory Thompkins signed off on a scorecard of 173.
The Cobras will next travel to Hilton Head, S.C., to compete in the Lady Bearcat Invitational.
