
Coker Women's Golf Finishes Second at Montreat Invitational
The Coker women's golf team finished second at the Montreat Invitational on Sunday (Oct. 21).
BREVARD, N.C. – The Coker women's golf team finished second at the Montreat Invitational on Sunday (Oct. 21). The Cobras shot a two round score of 672, and finished just seven strokes behind the first place team.
Taylor Demby set a Coker golf record in the second round when she shot a low score of 75. Demby shot a combined score of 163 to lead the Cobras, and placed third individually. Krista Thorpe placed fourth individually, and shot a combined score of 165. Mallory Thompkins tied for seventh place with a score of 173, while Bobbi McKenzie finished with a total of 176. Jessi McKenzie filled out the final spot for the Cobras with a combined score of 187.
Coker will not compete again until February 2, when they travel to Kiawah Island to participate in the Tusculum Kiawah Invitational.
