How It Happened:
The Cobras were hot from the get-go, jumping out to an early 15-2 lead in the first quarter. Eleven of the first fifteen points came off Tillman buckets, three of which were three-pointers, as she had a stellar shooting night. However, Limestone was not going quietly into the night just yet, going on a 15-4 run to bring this one within one score about one minute into the second quarter.
The second quarter was quiet there for awhile, with no score by either team until 5:19 left in the quarter when Mariah Mitchem hit a jumper to make it 21-17. That bucket was the start of a 7-2 run by the Cobras, ending on another Tillman three to make this 28-19 heading into halftime.
The rest of this game never came within double digits as the Cobras came out of the locker room hot yet again, going on a 15-1 run to open the period to take a commanding 43-20 lead with 4:39 remaining. At the end of the third, the Cobras had doubled the scoreline of Limestone (22-11) and had given themselves a comfortable lead. New faces for the Cobras saw time in the fourth, and they cruised to a 65-46 win in Rock Hill!
