
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL MAKES JUMP INTO TOP TEN NATIONALLY, RANKED NINTH
IT'S THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY THAT ANY COKER WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM HAS BEEN RANKED INSIDE THE TOP TEN NATIONALLY
Lilburn, GA - Movin' on up! After two-straight weeks ranked as the 12th-best team in all of DII Women's Basketball, the Cobras make the jump into the Top Ten for the first time in program history!
Coker Women's Basketball is now the 9th ranked team in DII, according to the release put out today by the WBCA. After a 2-0 week that saw them have dominant outings against Lenoir-Rhyne and Emory & Henry, respectively, the Cobras find themselves with a 21-1 record overall and a 17-1 record in the South Atlantic Conference.
This week, the Cobras won their 20th game of the season, breaking the previous record held by the 2003-04 team at 19 wins. They also continue their program-best win streak, winning two games to take the streak to a whopping 14 games. They hold a three-game lead at the top of the SAC and are poised to make a run at the SAC title here in a few weeks.
