The Cobras are tearing through the South Atlantic Conference with a league-leading 14-1 record and an 18-1 record overall. Just this week they moved up in the national rankings and currently sit as the 12th-best team in all of DII Women's Basketball. Kamari Thompson (Blocks, Blocks Per Game, Double-Doubles, Rebounds, Rebounds Per Game, Offensive Rebounds Per Game), Mya Wasswa (Free Throw Percentage), and Shawnteanna Tillman (Steals, Steals Per Game) all show up in the Top 50 in NCAA DII in their respective statistical categories after their win over Anderson.
Last Time Out
Coker is fresh off one of their biggest wins this season. As stated in the intro, the Cobras defeated the Anderson Trojans at home on Wednesday night by a score of 70-66, avenging their only loss to date. Four Cobras (Wasswa - 13, Tillman - 12, Thompson - 12, and Dasia Ferguson - 10) were in double figures for the contest in a great team win.
These two teams have already played this season, with the Cobras taking a ten-point victory over the Cobras (65-55) here in Hartsville. Ferguson had 20 points in that contest while Tillman had 15 to pace her. They will need more big performances to take care of business on the road against the Lions.
