WOMEN'S BASKETBALL'S TILLMAN NAMED SAC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Rock Hill, SC - For those dialed into Coker Women's Basketball this past week, you may have seen this coming - Coker's Shawnteanna Tillman has been named the South Atlantic Conference Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week!

In two games this week, she recorded 26 and 22 points against Newberry and UVA-Wise, respectively. The UVA-Wise outing was her third-straight game with 20+ points, having 28 in the previous week against Tusculum. She led the Cobras to a 2-0 week, being the leading scorer for the 17-1 Cobras and having them ranked in the Top 15 in DII for the first time in program history.

She also led the effort on the defensive end, recording 9 rebounds and 6 steals in the win over Newberry. Following that effort, she recorded 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5 steals against UVA-Wise. Tillman has been tearing through the SAC and will look to lead the Cobras to a strong finish for the 2024-25 campaign.
