WOMEN'S BASKETBALL STILL UNDEFEATED, HANDLES LIMESTONE ON THANKSGIVING WEEKEND
Hartsville, SC - The Cobras are on a roll to start the season, taking care of the Saints of Limestone in their latest escapade in the DeLoach Center.
A close game early on, the Cobras extended their lead to nine shortly thereafter. At one point in the early third quarter, they had a 17-point lead. The domination in every aspect ended late in the third, when the Saints made a short run and brought this back to a narrow lead early in the fourth quarter. From then on out after Limestone's late run, it was all Cobras. They finished this one with a run and held on to take the 68-55 win.
Dasia Ferguson led all scorers with 19 on 7-12 shooting. Mya Wasswa (15 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals) and Shawnteanna Tillman (13 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists) also recorded double-figure scorelines. Kamari Thompson was again a monster on the boards, recording 6 points and 11 rebounds.
The Cobras will head to Emory, VA on Wednesday for some mid-week action against the Wasps of Emory & Henry. That game is scheduled to tip off at 5:30 PM ET.
