WOMEN'S BASKETBALL'S KAMARI THOMPSON GARNERS NATION RECOGNITION
Atlanta, GA - Cobra fans know her and love her, and now the rest of the country has been put on notice - Kamari Thompson has been named a Player-of-the-Year hopeful by TNT Sports.
Thompson, the sophomore forward from Greenville, SC, had a record-breaking season for the Cobras in her freshman campaign. With a whopping 334 rebounds, the standout athlete broke the single-season program record and has her eyes set to shatter her own mark in the 2024-25 campaign.
She also averaged a double-double with 11.5 points and 11.9 rebounds in her first year of action. Her 11.9 rebounds was enough to lead the South Atlantic Conference and to get her third in DII in that same category. We could go on and on about the precedent she set in her first season and the things she did, but with her sophomore season coming up, it's time to get back to work yet again.
