Coker Wins Fifth Straight Defeating Claflin 85-61

The Coker Women's Basketball team defeated the Claflin team with a final score of 85-61. The game took place on November 29, 2023, at the Edward L. Tullis Arena in Orangeburg, South Carolina. 

Coker had a strong performance throughout the game, maintaining a lead in each quarter. Dominique Rodriguez was the top scorer for Coker with 23 points, shooting 7-9 from the field and 5-5 from the three-point line. Dasia Lambert also had a notable performance with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Kamari Thompson contributed 12 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, while Kristynn Knight added 9 points.

For Claflin, Lauren Scott led the team in scoring with 11 points, followed by Destiny Harrison with 7 points. Jasmyn Jefferies had 5 points, while Nya Morris and Destiny Coleman each scored 5 points.

Coker had a strong shooting performance, shooting 46.4% from the field and 42.1% from the three-point line. They also had a solid free-throw shooting percentage of 65.8%. Claflin struggled with their shooting, shooting 33.3% from the field and 27.8% from the three-point line.
