Coker Drop Tight Game against Tusculum by 2 Points

Hartsville, SC - The Coker University Women's Basketball Team dropped a tight game against Tusculum on Saturday Night (Jan. 21st).

Mya Wasswa, for the first time of the 2022-23 season, led the Cobras with 11 points during the game. Wasswa went 4-10 from the field and 2-4 from the free throw line. Dominique Rodriguez and Hope Richardson followed Wasswa with nine points each while Dasia Lambert and Valicia Demeritte combined for a total of 16 points througout the night. As a team, Coker shot 36.4 from the field, 21.2 percent from the three point line, and 89.5 percent from the free throw line.

Of the 37 rebounds collected by the Cobras, Richardson led with 12. Following was Kristynn Knight with eight and Haley McClure with three. Six other Cobras joined the action in gettign action off the glass. Coker registered eight assists and six steals throughout the game.

Mya Belton and Blayre Shultz both had 14 points for the Pioneers.

The Cobras will return to action on Wed. (Jan. 25th) at Newberry. Tip off is set for 5:30 PM. Live streaming and stats will be available at www.cokercobras.com
