Cobras Come up short Against Bears Wednesday Night

Hartsville, SC - The Coker University Women's Basketball Team came up short Wednesday night against Lenoir-Rhyne despite their early lead in the game.

For the Cobras, Hope Richardson lead the way with 16 points. Depsite Richardson being the only one to score in the double digits, her teammates helped add to the total of 43 points. Abigail Keesling and Diamond Jackson both combined for a total of 12 points while Valicia Demeritte registered four. The Cobras outrebounded Lenoir Rhyne 38-36.  

Hope Richardson led the rebounding stats with nine on the night, five being collected on the offensive end. Kristynn Knight (6), Shawnteanna Tillman (4), and Valicia Demeritte (4) all combined for 14 rebounds. Coker forced Lenoir Rhyne into 16 turnovers on the night.  

Maddie Dillinger posted 12 points for the Bears.

The Cobras will return to the court on Friday the 13th against Converse University. Tip off is set for 5:30 PM in Spartanburg, SC. Live streaming and stats will be available at www.cokercobras.com
