Lenoir-Rhyne built a 19-9 lead after one quarter, before taking a 36-15 lead to the half.
Coker would win the third quarter 21-15 to trim the margin, before each team would score 17 points in the final quarter as Lenoir-Rhyne took the conference win.
Hope Richardson led Coker with a team-high 13 points, while Saquita Joyner added 12 points and Ahlea Myers chipped in 10. Seven other Cobras scored in the game. Joyner posted her second consecutive double-double with a game-high 12 rebounds, while 10 others were active on the glass for Coker in the game. Myers dished out two assists for Coker, while Emily Davis, Ashauntee Nelson and Mya Wasswa each helped on one Coker bucket. Mariah Mitchem led Coker with three steals, while Richardson and Valicia Demeritte each had two and Joyner, Dasia Lambert and Myers each had one. Richardson and Myers each posted one block in the game for Coker.
The Cobras (2-2, 1-1 SAC) return to action on Saturday (Nov. 27) at Lincoln Memorial in South Atlantic Conference action. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m. from Harrogate, Tenn., with video and live stats available at www.cokercobras.com.
