Women's Basketball Adds Another With Signing of Zawacki

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker College women's basketball team announced the signing of Christie Zawacki to bolster the squad for the 2019-20 season. 

"We are thrilled to sign Christie to join our Coker family", said head coach Shannon Johnson. "Christie will add more depth in the post position and she will help us by scoring and rebounding from this area. She's a versatile player and will help us grow."

Zawacki, a 6-1 forward from Indian Land, South Carolina, lettered in basketball and volleyball at Arborbrook Christian Academy. During her impressive career with the Falcons, Zawacki compiled more than 1000 points and 1000 rebounds. Along with her statistical achievements, she was the Team MVP during her junior year and voted a team captain for her senior campaign. Off the court she was named to the Honor Roll and also a member of the National Honor Society. 

Zawacki intends to major in psychology and is the daughter of Andy and Michelle Zawacki. She has two siblings, Anna and Josh, who will both be attending Liberty University.
