Cobras Battle Late, Fall to Newberry in Season Finale

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker College women's basketball team fell in their regular season finale on Wednesday (Feb. 27) night, falling to the Newberry College Wolves 75-65.

Shay Jackson was dominant on the night, finishing the game with a game-high 21 points and six rebounds. Jackson hit eight of her 14 shots, including knocking down 5-7 from three-point range. Erin Houser flirted with a double-double, tallying 12 points and eight rebounds. Freshmen Hope Richardson and Saquita Joyner ended up just short of double figures with eight and seven points, respectively. Aloni McFarland added five points while Hayley Kropp, Jalah Horton, and Amanda Cherry each chipped in with four points.
