Nelson Notches 16 in Loss to Lenoir-Rhyne

HARTSVILLE, S.C - The Coker College women's basketball team fell at home to Lenoir-Rhyne 77-61 on Wednesday (Jan. 16) night.

Ashauntee Nelson had a nice showing with 16 points and five rebounds for the fourth game in double figures for the freshman guard. Erin Houser finished just one point behind Nelson with 15 on the night, while also adding six rebounds and a trio of steals. Hayley Kropp, who has been on fire as of late, recorded seven points in the game. Jalah Horton and Saquita Joyner recorded five and four points, respectively. Taiyler DeMoss, Elizabeth Kincaid, Hope Richardson, and Haliyah Sumter all netted three points, while Shay Jackson chipped in with two.

The Cobras will be back in action on Monday (Jan. 21) when they travel to Mars Hill for a South Atlantic Conference game at 6:00 PM.
