NEWBERRY, S.C. – The Coker College women's basketball team fell to the Newberry College Wolves 68-52 on Wednesday (Feb. 7) evening in South Atlantic Conference action.
The Cobras cut a double-digit halftime deficit down to just five points early in the third quarter, but Newberry responded with a 12-0 run to regain control of the game.
Erin Houser led the way with 13 points and seven rebounds. Janea Williams chipped in 11 points and six rebounds.
Coker will be back in action on Saturday (Feb. 10) when they host the Tusculum College Pioneers for homecoming. Tipoff is set for 2:00 p.m. in the DeLoach Center.
