Cobras Drop Conference Game at No. 8 Carson-Newman

The Coker College women’s basketball team dropped a South Atlantic Conference game to the No. 8 Carson-Newman University Eagles Saturday (Dec. 9) afternoon.

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – The Coker College women's basketball team dropped a South Atlantic Conference game to the No. 8 Carson-Newman University Eagles Saturday (Dec. 9) afternoon. 

Hayley Kropp led the way for the Navy and Gold, pouring in a season-best 26 points with a 6-11 mark from beyond the three-point arch. Iresha Cooper chipped in 12 points and brought down a team-best nine rebounds, while Kaleah Hires and Shay Jackson recorded eight points each off the bench. 

The Cobras will take the court again when they travel to Tusculum to take on the Pioneers on Wednesday (Dec. 13) evening. Opening tip is set for 6 p.m.
