Cobras Look to Bite Back Against Barton Thursday

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- Coker women's basketball looks to defend its home court on Thursday when they welcome Barton in a non-conference matchup.

Last night (Nov. 18), Coker fell in its home opener to Augusta University, 75-68. Three Cobra starters logged double figures in points in the contest. Jazz Green dropped 18, Terrika Foster poured in 17 and Kendra Lambert added 12. Coker shot 32.8% from the floor (21-64) including 33.3% from beyond the arc (8-24). As a team the Cobras were 18-28 (64.3%) from the charity stripe.

Barton comes into the matchup with a 1-2 record, with their losses coming against SAC rivals Queens and Catawba. Freshman forward Kiara Wynn paces the Bulldogs offensively, averaging 14.7 points per game through three games.

Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m. at the DeLoach Center. Tickets for the game are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
