Coker’s Autumn Lau Makes All-Region Team

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College women's basketball player Autumn Lau has been named to the 2012-13 Daktronics Women's Basketball All-Southeast Region team. She was named to the second team for District 3.

Lau, a junior forward from Mt. Wolfe, Pa., transferred to the Cobras this season. In 23 games played, she averaged 18 points, seven rebounds and just under two blocks per game. In Conference Carolinas play, she was first in blocks-per-game, at 2.4, second in total blocks, with 56, and third in scoring average.

Autumn is a physical education and sport studies majors with a concentration in sports management. She is the daughter of Brian and Shelby Lau.

Coker compiled an 18-11 record with a 14-8 mark in conference play. The Cobras' season ended with a loss to Mont Olive College in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament.

Along with Lau, five others made the second team: Brittany Cox (Pfeiffer), Taylor Beverly (Montevallo), Daniela Tarallo (USC Aiken), Tamara Nesmith (Mount Olive) and Williesha Spencer (Flagler).
