
Cobras Top Braves, 65-59
The Coker women's basketball team extended their win streak to four on Sunday (Dec. 30) evening when they defeated UNC Pembroke 65-59.
MILLEDGEVILLE, GA. – The Coker women's basketball team extended their win streak to four on Sunday (Dec. 30) evening when they defeated UNC Pembroke 65-59. The Cobras improve to 7-2 on the year.
Coker only surrendered the led one time when the Braves scored the first basket of the game and went up 2-0. Coker however, went on a quick 6-0 run and regained the lead for the remainder of the game.
The Cobras were led by Autumn Lau who scored a game high 16-points. Lau also collected eight rebounds and tallied five blocks. Behind Lau was her twin sister Amber who contributed 14-points with a team high five assists. Hailey Yohn had game high nine rebounds and seven points.
As a team, the Cobras shot 40-percent from the floor, and 77-percent from the charity stripe. Coker also snatched up 47-rebounds and had a season high seven blocks on defense.
The Cobras return to the hardwood on Monday (Dec. 31), to face Georgia College. The game is scheduled for a 3 p.m. tip-off.
