Coastal Carolina Tops Coker with Second Half Surge

CONWAY, S.C. – Three Coker players scored in double figures, with Amber Lau (Mt. Wolf, Pa.) scoring 13 points to lead the Cobras in their 63-53 loss to Division I Coastal Carolina.

Jasmine Evans (Birmingham, Ala.) netted a season high 12 points with six rebounds, while Jasmine Alston (Sumter, S.C.) added 11 points and eight rebounds.

The Cobras used an explosive offensive to take a 33-31 lead into halftime, but a solid Coastal defense in the second half helped lead to the Chanticleer victory.

Coker will take a couple of weeks off before returning to the floor on Wednesday, Dec. 14 against another Division I opponent, North Carolina Central. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. at N.C. Central.
