Coker Drops First Game of MetroMedical Thanksgiving Classic

LOUISVILLE, Ky.- Freshman Kelley Godbout (Matthews, N.C.) and junior Amber Lau (Mt. Wolfe, Pa.) each scored 20 plus points for the Cobras, but it was not enough as the Coker lost to Bellarmine University 84-67. The loss is Coker's first of the MetroMedical Thanksgiving Classic hosted by Bellarmine.

Godbout had a game high 24 points with six rebounds, while Lau scored 21 points with a game high nine boards.

Coker outscored the Knights 44-40 in the second half, but it was not enough to overcome a difficult first half. Bellarmine held a 44-23 led at halftime.

In addition to Godbout and Lau's 20 point performances, freshman Hailey Yohn (Durham, N.C.) chipped in 15 points, four rebounds and four assists.

The Cobras will be back on the court for their second game of the MetroMedical Thanksgiving Classic on Sunday against the University of Southern Indiana. Tip-off is scheduled for noon.
