Coker Basketball to Play at Charlotte Bobcats Arena in 2012
The Coker men's and women's basketball teams will take on the Limestone Saints at the Charlotte Bobcats Arena on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012.
HARTSVILLE, S.C. – For the second consecutive year the Coker College men's and women's basketball teams will play on an NBA court. This time the Cobras will take on the Saints of Limestone College in a Conference Carolinas double-header on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 at the Charlotte Bobcats Arena, Time Warner Cable Arena.
The Cobras and the Saints will tip-off under the lights of the NBA arena starting with the women's game at 12:15 p.m., followed by the men's game at 2:15 p.m.
After the conclusion of the Coker and Limestone games, fans will be invited to stay and enjoy some NBA action, as the Bobcats will host the Washington Wizards at 7 p.m., pending the end of the NBA lockout.
It will be an exciting day of basketball with two very good Conference Carolinas schools facing off. In the women's game, fans will see the new and improved Cobra women's team taking the court against one of the top teams in Conference Carolinas, the Limestone Saints.
The men's game will feature a rematch of last season's Conference Carolinas Tournament Championship game between the Cobras and the Saints. The Saints won that game, but Coker and Limestone split their regular season match-up.
