HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Senior Megan Thomas (Cresskill, N.J.) scored a team high 17 points and had four assists and three steals on Coker’s senior night loss to Pfeiffer University. The Cobra women were defeated by the Falcons 69-41 in Conference Carolinas women’s basketball action.

Christina Harvey was dominating force for the Falcons as she scored a game high 28 points and pulled down 14 rebounds for the game’s lone double-double. Brittany Cox also had an incredible game for the Pfeiffer as she scored 20 points, nine of which came from long range.

The Cobras had a difficult night shooting as they hit just 33.3 percent of their shots from the field compared to Pfeiffer’s 50 percent shooting. Both teams hit 75 percent from the charity stripe.

Pfeiffer held just a nine point lead at the break, but the Falcon defense turned up the pressure in the second half holding the Cobras to just 15 points.

The Coker women have a busy week of basketball ahead of them still. They travel to Erskine on Thursday for their next game, then on Friday they return home to play Converse College in a make-up game and finally on Saturday they travel to Lees-McRae for their final game of the season. Thursday and Friday’s games start at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday’s will tip-off at 2:00 p.m.
