HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Freshman Ashley Thompson (Columbia, S.C.) scored a career high 18 points with seven rebounds in the Coker’s 61-37 loss to Lees-McRae on Saturday afternoon in Conference Carolinas women’s basketball action.

Coker had a difficult game shooting, hitting just 14 of 60 baskets (23.3 percent) from the floor and just four of 21 from beyond the arc, while the Bobcats hit 45.3 percent (24-of-53) from the field and nearly 80 percent from the charity stripe.

Lees-McRae’s Chloe Parker led all scorers with 12 points and eight rebound, with Icey Patterson dropping in 10 points as well.

Megan Thomas (Cresskill, N.J.) added seven points to the Cobras efforts and Cassie Kirby (Charlottesville, Va.) scored six.

Coker’s next game is at Pfeiffer University on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
