HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker Cobras women’s basketball team will try and turn things around and grab their first win of the season Saturday night against Queens.
Coker lost their last game in OT to Belmont Abbey 83-84. Both Coker and Queens will be looking for their first conference win of the season.

Coker is still searching for their first win of the season and they hope to grab it here at home against Queens. During the Cobras’ last game against Belmont Abbey senior Megan Thomas (Cresskill, NJ) led the Cobras with 27 points.
During the battle against the Crusaders, the Cobras held on closely all game but could not finish it out in overtime. Freshmen Shanice Cooper (Sumter, SC) hit a buzzer-beater in the second half to even the score to force OT. Sophomore Jasmine Alston (Sumter, SC) fouled out late in the second half in an attempt to keep the game close.
Turnovers and shooting percentage have hurt the Cobras this season and they look to improve on both against Queens.
