Sumter, S.C. – It was lucky number seven for the Coker women’s basketball team on Tuesday night, as the Lady Cobras defeated Morris College 67-58 for their first win of the season in their seventh game of the season.
The win brings the Lady Cobras record to 1-6 overall.
Lotta Aaltonen (Rauma, Finland) paced the Coke women with 21 points and three rebounds, while fellow country woman Henna Koponen (Vantaa, Finland) had 10 points and seven rebounds. Jasmine Alston (Sumter, S.C.) had eight points and three assists in her return to her hometown.
Coker will now break for the holiday season. They will return to the floor on January 7, when they host Conference Carolinas foe St. Andrews Presbyterian College at 5:30 p.m. in the Timberlake-Lawton Gymnasium.
