GAFFNEY, S.C. — The Lady Saints basketball team cruised by Coker College, 78-58 in the Timken Gym on Tuesday night.  Limestone’s Stephanie Munoz (Peoria, Ill.) led all scorers with a career high, 22 points on 6-for-10 shooting from beyond the arc.  Munoz also sparked the Lady Saints’ defense with 5 steals.  For Coker, Madison Bycroft (Adelaide Hills, Australia) had 20 points and 5 steals.  The Saints improve to 15-14 on the season, 10-9 in the league.  Coker fell to 6-21 overall, 5-15 in the league.

Lindsay Kyle (Springfield, Va.) had 15 points, 7 rebounds and was 6-for-9 from the floor for the Saints.  Addie Graves (Columbia, S.C.) chipped in 11 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.  Monica Adams (Kings Mountain, N.C.) recorded her sixth double-double of the season, with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

For Coker, Lotta Aaltonen (Rauma, Finland) had 19 points and 8 rebounds.  Megan Thomas (Cresskill, N.J.) had 11 points and 3 assists.  Henna Koponen (Vantaa, Finland) and Maija Castren (Vantaa, Finland) both had 7 boards a piece.

Coker jumped out to a 5-3 lead to start the game, but Limestone quickly took control, leading by as many as 18 points. The Saints shot 38.5% from the field as Coker was 29.6% for the half.  Limestone ended the half up 37-19.

The Lady Saints led most of the second half, pushing their lead to as many as 26.  Coker made a run to cut the Saint lead to 12 with 8:16 but the Lady Cobras ran out of steam and the Saints edged a 78-58 win.  The Saints shot 42% for the game, with Coker close behind with at 40.7% performance from the floor. 

Limestone will host Pfeiffer on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Coker completed it’s regular season with tonight’s game.
