Hartsville, SC- The Barton Lady Bulldogs posted 100 points in their 100-69 victory over the Cobras of Coker College on Thursday night in women’s collegiate basketball. The win improved the Lady Bulldogs to a 2-0 record in Conference Carolinas play, and moved them to 2-2 overall, while the loss drops Coker to 0-6 overall, and 0-2 in the conference.

Barton used 25 Coker turnovers to converted 28 points, and they also out rebounded the Cobras 50-29. Coker was able to out shoot Barton at eh charity stripe, hitting 15-of-20, compared to Barton’s 13-of-26.

Temeca Spain (Conway, SC) led the Cobras with 19 points and eight rebounds, while freshman Kenya McCarthan (Hardeeville, SC) put up a career high 18 points with four rebounds. Henna Koponen (Vantaa, Finland) had her sixth game where she scored double figures, with 16 points.

Barton’s Esty Flores (Virginia Beach, VA) led all scorers with 26 points and five steals, while Sara Fleming (Stanley, NC) had 20 points and six rebounds. Casey Moore (Liberty, NC) and Kendra Thomas (Virginia Beach, SC) each scored in double figures, with Moore scoring 16 points and Thomas scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds.

The Cobras return to the floor on Saturday, December 1 as they travel to Lees-McRae for a 2:00 p.m. tip-off.
