Hartsville, SC- Kalee Smith’s 19 points and 19 rebounds led the Falcons of Pfeiffer University to a 75-69 victory over the Coker Cobras on Sunday afternoon in Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference women’s basketball. The Falcons kept their undefeated record alive, moving to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the CVAC, while Coker falls to 1-4 overall and 0-2 in the CVAC.

 

Both teams had four players with double figures. Leading all scorers was Raven Truslow with 20 points and six rebounds, while Tamara Clay had 14 points and Lauren Brittingham had 12 points coming off the bench.

 

Coker was lead by Henna Koponen with 19 points and five rebounds, followed by Tara Nelson, who came off the bench to tally 13 points for the Cobras. Rebecca Kolbeck finished the game with a double-double totaling 12 points and 15 rebounds, while Temeca Spain also scored 12 points and had 3 rebounds.

 

The Cobras next game will be on Saturday, December 9, as they travel to Catawba College for a 2:0 p.m. tip-off.
