TIGERVILLE, SC- North Greenville University notched its second straight victory as four Lady Crusaders poured in double-figure points in the 75-67 win over Coker College Saturday afternoon in Hayes Gymnasium. Audrey Toscano (Concord, NC) led the Crusaders in scoring with 17 points and seven assists, and together with senior point guard Sarah Giles (Clover, SC), engineered the Crusader offense with an up-tempo style that put North Greenville in good position to score time after time. Giles finished the game with 16 points and six assists.

Coker scored the first basket of the game on a Tara Nelson jump shot. Twelve seconds later, Amanda Milner (York, SC) scored a layup to tie the game. The Crusaders never trailed again. North Greenville got up by as many as 14 points in the first half, but Coker managed to crawl back to make it 36-30 at halftime.

North Greenville went on a tear to open up the second half, building a 20 point lead within the first four and a half minutes. However, the Cobras clawed their way back into the game once again. India Elliot hit a jump shot with 3:06 remaining in the game to pull within six points at 69-63. Debbie Wyatt (Goose Creek, SC) responded with a layup, and then Amber Bramlett (Concord, NC) hit a layup after a missed Cobra three-pointer to extend the lead to ten. North Greenville was able to hold on for the 75-67 victory.

Three Lady Cobras scored in double-figures. Ashley Brooks led all scorers with 20 points, including four three-pointers. Tara Nelson and India Elliot added 15 and 13 points respectively. Milner another double-double scoring 16 points and grabbing 10 rebounds for the Crusaders. Bramlett also added ten points.

North Greenville improves to 7-6 on the season, while Coker falls to 2-9. The Lady Crusaders will be back in action Tuesday night as they pay a visit to Allen University.
