Coming off semester break both the men's and women's basketball teams defeated Coker College in CVAC action.

The Pfeiffer women came out and played an impressive game defeating Coker 62-51. The Falcons used a great pressure defense to build a 16 point halftime lead. Pfeiffer forced 14 Cobra turnovers while having only six. The offense was clicking and the motion offense led to 13 assists on 16
baskets. Pfeiffer led 38-22 at the break.

Coker came out fighting hard in the second half but could not catch up to the Falcons. All 14 Falcons played, with eight different players scoring led by Tamara Clay's 17. Kelly Mathis added 11 and Najja Moon scored 10. Clay led the Falcons with 10 rebounds and Cathi Kennings dished out 6 assists.  Coker was led by Ashley White who had 12 points and 8 rebounds.

Coker returns to the court on Monday January 9, as they take on Belmont Abbey College at 5:30 p.m. at home.
