Hartsville, SC- With three seconds remaining in the game India Elliot pulled up for a jumper from the free throw line and sank the game winning shot for the Cobras. The 75-74 win over Limestone College is the first conference win for the Coker Women, moving them to 2-2 overall, and 1-0 in the CVAC.

 

Elliot and Rachael Kolbeck each had 19 points in the victory and Kolbeck added 9 rebounds for the Cobras. Senior Ashley White and sophomore Ashley Brooks added 14 and 10 points respectively.

 

Leading the way for the Limestone Saints was Monica Adams with a double-double, 16 points and 13 rebounds. Melissa DeVore chipped in 14 points, along with Addie Graves who also had 14 points for Limestone.

 

Both Coker and Limestone were plagued with turnovers throughout the game as Coker had 18 and Limestone had 24.

 

Up next for the Cobras will be a road game versus CVAC foe Lees-McRae on Saturday, December 3 at 3:30 pm., while Limestone will travel to face USC Aiken on Thursday, December 1 at 7 p.m.
