Spartanburg, SC – The All-Stars went into halftime trailing Coker by 6 points Tuesday night but that would be the closest they would come as the Cobras pulled away on a 31-7 run to start the second half. Coker would eventually take the game 88-66 with four scorers in double-figures for the game.

With both teams looking for their first win of the season, the pace was frenetic from the outset and the All-Stars had 8 early points from Brandi Criscitiello (Maysville, NC) to keep them close. The All-Stars would go into halftime trailing 32-26 but had momentum on their side with two defensive stops just before they headed to the locker room for the break.

The second half would be a different story however, as the Cobras came out firing and Converse was unable to establish themselves defensively with Coker scoring 8 consecutive points. For the All-Stars, freshman Sydney Brown (Myrtle Beach, SC) would score all 14 of her points in the second half, going 5 for 8 from the field and a perfect 3 for 3 from the line.

Coker was led by Tara Nelson (Rochester Hills, MI) with 16 points while Temeca Spain (Conway, SC) turned in 10 points and 9 rebounds in the win. Olivia Freda (Hilton Head, SC) and Blake Hallman (Rock Hill, SC) had 10 and 8 points respectively for Converse but it would not be enough as the All-Stars fell to 0-4 ahead of the Thanksgiving Break.

Coker improves to 1-2 and returns home to face Limestone on November 29th while the All-Stars will be in action this coming Saturday against Pfeiffer at 6pm in the Hannah Gymnasium.
