German Sets School Record at Rams College Invitational

COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Coker men's track and field team opened their 2022 outdoor season at the Rams College Invitational hosted by Columbia International University on Saturday (Mar. 19).

The 4 x 100m relay team picked up a win, as they posted a time of 42.09. Sophomore Jeremil German broke the school record in the 200m, as he ran a time of 20.60 to finish in a tie for seventh. Tyler McCoy finished fifth with a 15.50 in the 110m hurdles. 

Kristoffer Persen and Gary Simpkins finished fourth and fifth in the 400m, with times of 50.01 and 50.34 respectively. German picked up another top ten finish, with a time of 10.70 in the 100m, good enough for a tie for sixth. Senior Mahliqe Andrews finished eighth in the 800m with a posted time of 1:58.60. 

The Cobras will return to action next Friday and Saturday (Mar. 25-26) at the Emory Spring Break Classic in Atlanta, Ga. Coverage can be found at www.cokercobras.com
