Bio
2014-15: McDowell had eight top-10 finishes this season for the Cobras. His best was a runner-up showing in the Triple Jump at the Palmetto Classic Track and Field Invitational.
2013-14: McDowell played in one game for the Cobras, scoring three points on 1-of-1 shooting from behind the arc against Brevard College (1/4).
2012-13: Did not play this season.
High School: McDowell was a four-sport star at Landrum High School, lettering in basketball, football, baseball and track. He was a four-time All-Region selection in basketball and football, and was a two-time All-Region triple jumper. He was named All-State in the triple jump in 2011 and was the 2011 triple jump state champion.
Personal: Son of Jeanette McDowell and Larry Bates...he has two siblings Garrison and Jennifer...his brother Garrison played football at Mars Hill College (2007-12).
