
CRIBBS AND PALMER NAMED "ATHLETES TO WATCH" BY THE SOUTH ATLANTIC CONFERENCE
Rock Hill, SC - As announced by the South Atlantic Conference, Coker Softball had two athletes named SAC "Athletes to Watch" for the 2025 season: Mya Cribbs and Cheyenne Palmer!
#5 Mya Cribbs | JR | OF
Cribbs, a junior from Beech Island, SC, is heading into her third year with the Coker Softball program. She has appeared in 77 career outings for the Cobras, including 44 games in her sophomore campaign last season. She finished last season with a .286 batting average while recording 26 hits in 91 at-bats with 1 double, 1 triple, and 5 home runs. She also drove in 17 runs, drew 7 walks, and stole 5 bases while finishing the season with a .484 slugging percentage and a .350 on-base percentage. The 2023-24 Female Breakthrough Player of the Year Nominee will look to have yet another jump this season and lead the Cobra softball team to new heights.

Palmer, a sophomore from Sellersburg, IN, will look to build off a solid freshman campaign for Coker Softball. In her rookie season, she appeared in 34 games, recording 53 at-bats with 13 hits for a .245 average with 15 RBIs and 8 runs from the plate. Also at the plate, she drew 14 walks (.397 OBP), had 2 doubles, and 2 home runs (.396 SLG). She also recorded 18 appearances on the mound, starting in 7 of those with 20 Ks, 2 wins, and a 6.78 ERA. She will look to make even more of an impact in her sophomore season with the Cobras.
The Cobras were also picked to finish 11th in the South Atlantic Conference Pre-Season Poll, announced in this same release. The Cobras will begin the season at Francis Marion on Saturday, February 1st in a double-header scheduled for 1 PM, with the conference slate scheduled to begin on March 4th on the road against Tusculum at noon.
